Power of "His Word"

Can scripture save the world?

Columbia Pictures
People can't get enough doomsday. It's mysterious. It's exciting.

It's a blockbuster.

How timely that the second installment of a seven-part graphic novel series on the End of Days is hitting shelves at about the same time that 2012, the Mayan doomsday flick, hits theaters.

"Nobody wants the world to end, but everybody wants to see it happen," says California megachurch pastor Phil Hotsenpiller, author of the Armageddon Now.

The first of his graphic novels (comic books on steroids, for those new to the genre) is called Armageddon Now: World War 3 and came out at the beginning of this year. Yes, the story is about the last days, but it's not told in a Left Behind sort of way. The characters aren't Christian, but they use the scriptures to find hints on how to save the world.
